E-commerce purchase channels of toys in the Netherlands 2018-2019

Offline toys purchases saw a big decline in the Netherlands between 2018 and 2019, marking a shift towards online sales. In February 2019, over four out of ten Dutch online shoppers indicated they would purchase toys at an online marketplace, like Bol.com or Amazon. E-commerce has become more and more popular in the Netherlands in recent years. The number of online orders or purchases, for example, reached approximately 260 million in 2019.
