Survey Report Law Base Larsemann Hills 2023/2024

This record describes the geodetic survey season conducted by Eric Duthie, Chief Petty Officer (CPO), Hydrographic Systems manager, Deployable Geospatial Survey Team One, MGWU (Maritime Geospatial Warfare Unit) at Law Base, Larsemann Hills, East Antarctica. (see also RAN Hydrographic Service) The survey was completed 8 March – 15 March 2024.Survey works conducted included a geodetic survey of existing survey control marks AUS334, AUS335, and NMS278 on the Broknes Peninsula. The survey utilised Trimble R10 GNSS units in static measurement mode. The survey benchmark AUS350 was not found and was replaced by newly established survey control point AUS332.Eight terrestrial laser scans were also collected with Trimble TX8 laser scanner. Processed scans were provided in LAS data format and geo-referenced to ITRF2014 at epoch of survey, GRS80, UTM Zone 43 South.The report also includes photographs of surrounding international survey control marks. RTK GNSS data collected was provided as a geodatabase and a csv point listing.Geospatial products provided in pdf format show results of the delineation of the MHHW (mean higher high water) line, helicopter landing zones (HLZ) near Law Base, and delineation and gradient assessment of proposed potential logistics sites IVO Seal Cove and Nella Fjord surveyed by RTK GNSS.See the report at the provided URL for more information.

团队还使用天宝TX8激光扫描仪（Trimble TX8 laser scanner）完成了8次地面激光扫描作业。经后处理的扫描数据以LAS数据格式（LAS data format）交付，并以勘测历元下的ITRF2014坐标系、GRS80椭球参数及UTM南43区（UTM Zone 43 South）实现地理配准。
本报告同时收录了周边国际勘测控制标记的影像资料。本次采集的RTK GNSS（Real-Time Kinematic GNSS）数据以地理数据库（geodatabase）与CSV点位列表（csv point listing）两种格式交付。
以PDF格式（pdf format）交付的地理空间成果展示了平均高高潮（mean higher high water, MHHW）界线的划定结果、劳基地附近直升机起降场（helicopter landing zones, HLZ）的相关信息，以及经RTK GNSS勘测的海豹湾与内拉峡湾周边拟议后勤场地的界线划定与坡度评估结果。
