资源简介:
Dataset corresponding to the article: On the Influence of Sea and Land Breezes on the –1 Spectral Scaling, by Yuechao Wang, Yaswanth Sai Jetti, Shyuan Cheng, Ostoja‐Starzewski, Leonardo P Chamorro and Bernardo Figueroa-Espinoza.
This dataset comes from a measurement campaign using five sonic anemometers (two 3D and three 2D) installed on a 50-meter meteorological tower at a coastal meteorologic mast located at Sisal, Mexico, approximately 120 m inland from the shoreline, on the campus of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
This database contains a subset of the data collected during the original campaign, which was used to analyze the turbulence spectra of atmospheric boundary layer flows over both land and sea, with particular emphasis on the occurrence and characteristics of the −1 spectral scaling in the energy production region.
The data was compiled into an Excel file containing multiple sheets (Mexico_data.xlsx). The first sheet ("Contents") lists the dates and times of the corresponding samples, along with references to the respective sheets containing high frequency (10 Hz) raw data.
The anemometers were identified by an electronic ID, and installed at different heights above ground level, as shown in the following table:

Table 1: Heights of the anemometers above ground level
The database table headers follow this nomenclature. The recorded fields are described as follows:
Velocity components (m/s):
u: Velocity in the x-axis
v: Velocity in the y-axis
w: Velocity in the z-axis (only for 3D anemometers)
Examples of database fields:
u0: x-axis velocity (m/s) at z = 4.43m (Anemometer 1)
v0: y-axis velocity (m/s) at z = 4.43m (Anemometer 1)
u3: x-axis velocity (m/s) at z = 12.26m (Anemometer 3)
v3: y-axis velocity (m/s) at z = 12.26m (Anemometer 3)
Wind Direction Convention
0°: Wind from the east
90°: Wind from the north
Example: u = 1, v = 0 corresponds to an eastward wind, while u = 0,
v = 1 corresponds to a northward wind (Cartesian plane orientation).
