Transcription activated by AP2-Z in early zygote plays an essential role in Plasmodium ookinete development [RNA-seq]

Plasmodium berghei transcriptomes of wild-type and ap2-z knockout parasites [ap2-z(-)] were analyzed at 6 hours post starting ookinete culture (hpoc). Wild-type and ap2-z(-) were harvested at 6 hpoc, and total RNA was extracted. Libraries were constructed from the RNA and then sequenced by the Next Generation Sequencing.
