Objectively Detected and Classified HighResMIP Surface Low-pressure System Tracks (1988-2014)

This dataset contains all detectable surface low-pressure systems (LPSs) in 16 HighResMIP highres-SST simulations from 1988 to 2014. These include 12 models, as listed in our HighResMIP paper (preprint link), as well as two additional ECMWF-IFS-HR and ECMWF-IFS-LR members that were not used in the study. The dataset also includes ECMWF reanalysis v5 (ERA5) and regridded 1° ERA5 for reference. All data has a 6-hour frequency.Note: Tropical-like cyclones (TLCs, including Polar Lows and Subtropical Storms) are not classified in this dataset. Non-tropical systems are only consist of Extratropical Disturbance, Subtropical Cyclone, and Extratropical Cyclone.
