Supplementary (Online Resource 1)

This dataset contains the data charting sheet used in a scoping review of digital health technologies relevant to hospital management and service delivery in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), covering publications from 2020–2025. The dataset is provided as an Excel workbook with two sheets: (1) Reference_Map, listing the manuscript reference number (1–60), first author, year, short title, journal, and DOI link; and (2) Data_Charting, containing structured extraction fields for each study (Study_ID P01–P60) including country/region, hospital level, ward/unit, population, study design, technology category (EHR/HIS, interoperability/HIE, telehealth, wearables/RPM, analytics/CDS, or integrated bundles), interoperability standards, offline capability, adoption domains (infrastructure, training/support, workflow fit, cost/ownership, safety/security), key facilitators and barriers, validation methods (where applicable), and outcome flags (operational, clinical, and cost evidence).

All fields use short factual entries suitable for secondary analysis and public deposition. Values are recorded as NA when not reported in the full text and PARTIAL when only partially described. The Evidence_Locator field provides the page/section/table/figure pointer used to verify each extracted item. Study_IDs are stable identifiers (P01–P60), and the Ref_No_in_Manuscript column maps directly to the manuscript reference list.
