资源简介:
Pigs supply vital dietary proteins for human consumption and their economic value depends largely on meat production. As is known that microRNAs (miRNAs) play important roles in skeletal muscle development, however, their relation with distinct meat production between pig breeds remains unknown. Here we performed an integrated analysis of microRNA-mRNA expression profiles for Landrace (LR, lean) and Chinese indigenous pig Lantang (LT, lardtype) during 8 skeletal muscle developmental stages including 35, 49, 63, 77 dpc (days post coitum) and 2, 28, 90, 180 dpn (days postnatal). As DE-miRNAs expression profiles can be well classified into two clusters by PCA analysis, we grouped embryonic stages as G1 and postnatal stages as G2. 203 genes were predicted by target of miRNAs and STEM analysis showed distinct expression patterns of both breeds between G1 and G2 based on their transcriptome data. Furthermore, 22 genes and 35 miRNAs were predicted with interaction relation by STRING, including some crucial myogenic factors (MEF2A, MEF2C, miR-206, miR-133b, etc.) and myofibrillar genes (MYH7, TPM2, DES, etc.). Thus, it can be reasonably speculated that myogenic miRNAs may regulate myofibrillar genes in myofibers formation in embryonic stages and muscle hypertrophy in postnatal stages, leading to distinct meat production between breeds.
