Census of Population and Housing, 1980: Summary Tape File 5C, Population

<p>This data collection contains the Summary Tape File (STF) 5C for the 1980 census. STF 5 contains population and housing data estimated from the census sample, and is the National file. Most tabulations are repeated for race groups and persons of Spanish origin. In addition, the file contains "100-percent" counts and unweighted sample counts of persons and housing units. Selected aggregates are also provided. Population items include age, sex, race, marital status, Spanish origin, child information, and employment information. Housing items include number of rooms, tenure, vacancy, value, condominium status, monthly costs, presence of a telephone, and plumbing and sewage. STF 5C provides data summaries for the United States and the following three components: rural, inside Standard Metropolitan Statistical Areas (SMSA's), and inside SMSA central cities. STF 5C also has data summaries for regions, divisions, States, and standard consolidated statistical areas (SCSA's). Data summaries for the above mentioned three components (rural, inside SMSA's, and inside SMSA central cities) are also provided for regions, divisions, and States.</p>
