UN Rapid Deployment Force as a response to conflicts over natural resources

Data was collected via participant observation, using structured formal interviews, unstructured informal interviews, group discussions and workshops, informal conversations and personal communication. The author also collected secondary data such as meeting notes and resources, records, reports and documents pertaining to UN activities in the field. Data was also gathered from nearly two decades of field experience in over 30 different post-conflict countries involving the United Nations system, including peacekeeping operations and UN Environment. This includes a series of policy reports on natural resources, conflict, and peacebuilding that were issued by a combination of ten UN agencies, newspapers, magazines, government department websites, and conversations with UN staff on the ground.

本数据集通过参与式观察法采集数据，结合结构化正式访谈、非结构化非正式访谈、小组研讨与专题工作坊、非正式交谈及私人通讯等多种调研手段完成信息收集。作者同时采集了二级研究数据，涵盖与联合国（UN）实地活动相关的会议纪要、资料、记录、报告及文献。此外，作者依托近二十年在30余个不同冲突后国家开展联合国系统（含维和行动与联合国环境署（UN Environment））相关工作的实地经验完成数据采集。本次数据集包含两部分内容：一是由十家联合国机构、报刊杂志及政府部门官方网站联合发布的一系列关于自然资源、冲突与和平建设的政策报告；二是与实地联合国工作人员的访谈交流内容。
