We propose to make use of the demonstrated polarisation capability of the INTEGRAL SPI instrument in order to study the polarisation characteristics of the Vela pulsar/PWN system. The astrophysical aim is to confirm the validity of the striped wind model of pulsar emission through a test to verify if the polarization vector is aligned the with the spin axis of this pulsar as it was found to be in the Crab [truncated!
