Identification of migrant and vagrant birds from feather/blood/fecal samples collected in Europe. Genetic identification of migrant birds

Bird observatories and individual ringers (banders) obtain biological samples from vagrant and migrant birds that require identification, or confirmation of identification, to species or subspecies level. The objectives of this project are to perform the required sequencing and BLAST searches and upload sequence details to ENA to support publication and make the data available to other workers.
