Share of renewable energy use by heat pumps worldwide 2010-2023

Nearly a third of the energy consumed by heat pumps worldwide came from renewable sources. That share has increased significantly during the past decade, in 2010 it just amounted to 19.5 percent. In the United States, there were over four million air-source heat pumps shipments in 2022.
