This RNA-seq study is designed to understand the effects of different conserved regulatory loci on the metabolism of Streptococcus pneumoniae. The samples are generated from a series of mutants in which key signalling genes are disrupted. The data show the effects of each genetic change on the global transcriptome of the bacterium.
