Prevalence of COVID - 19 in the dental school of the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña in the year 2023.

COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus that resulted in a change in the way of life, consultation care and social development. The purpose of this study was to describe the prevalence of COVID-19 in the dental clinic staff at the Pedro Henríquez Ureña University (UNPHU). As a result, the prevalence of COVID-19 in the sample studied was 50.6%, with students being the group with the highest COVID-19 positivity with 32%, predominantly the female sex with 55% and the age range 22-27 years with 37%. Ninety-seven percent of the population reported having been inoculated, with a predominance of the Sinovac vaccine in 47%.

新型冠状病毒肺炎（COVID-19）是由严重急性呼吸综合征冠状病毒2型（SARS-CoV-2）引发的传染病，曾深刻改变了人类的生活方式、诊疗护理模式与社会发展轨迹。本研究旨在描述佩德罗·恩里克克斯·乌雷尼亚大学（Pedro Henríquez Ureña University，UNPHU）牙科门诊从业人员的新冠病毒感染流行情况。研究结果显示，本次纳入分析的样本中新冠病毒感染流行率为50.6%；其中学生群体的阳性率最高，达32%；女性占比55%为多数，22-27岁年龄段人群占比37%。97%的研究对象表示已完成新冠疫苗接种，其中以科兴（Sinovac）疫苗的接种占比最高，达47%。
