Flood Risk Management Study & Plan - Main report (Part 1 of 4)\r\n\r\nThis Lake Macquarie Waterway Flood Risk Management Study and Plan constitutes a review of\r\nthe second and third stage of the management process, namely the August 2000 Lake\r\nMacquarie Floodplain Management Study and the July 2001 Lake Macquarie Floodplain\r\nManagement Plan. This review has been prepared by consultant WMAwater for Lake\r\nMacquarie City Council and was undertaken following a review of the 1998 Lake Macquarie\r\nFlood Study, to include the June 2007 long weekend storm/flood event and incorporation of the\r\nimplications of climate change. The results of this Waterway Flood Risk Management Study\r\nand Plan Review will provide the basis for the future management of flood liable foreshores\r\nareas surrounding the Lake Macquarie waterway. The study concentrates on those areas of the\r\nforeshore within the boundaries of Lake Macquarie City Council, with no investigation of land\r\nwithin the Wyong local government area.

本次麦觉理湖（Lake Macquarie）水道洪水风险管理研究与计划，是对管理流程第二及第三阶段的回顾评估，具体涵盖2000年8月发布的《麦觉理湖漫滩风险管理研究》与2001年7月发布的《麦觉理湖漫滩管理计划》。本次回顾评估由咨询机构WMAwater受麦觉理市议会（Lake Macquarie City Council）委托开展，其工作基于对1998年《麦觉理湖洪水研究》的回顾，并新增纳入2007年6月长周末风暴洪水事件的相关数据，同时整合了气候变化带来的影响。本次水道洪水风险管理研究与计划回顾的成果，将作为麦觉理湖水道周边易受洪水影响的滨岸区域未来管理的核心依据。本研究聚焦于麦觉理市议会管辖范围内的滨岸区域，未对怀永地方政府辖区（Wyong local government area）内的土地开展相关调研。
