Aerosol characterization of tobacco blends manufactured specifically for the THS 2.2 system, in comparison with the 3R4F reference cigarette. Aerosols were generated using the Health Canada Intense smoking regimen.
The 43 experimental tobacco plug blends investigated here were generated from a large range of different tobacco types, including extreme blend compositions, compared to normal tobacco blending practices used for cigarettes.
The concentration of the aerosol constituents of the blends were determined using Labstat International Analytical Methods (November 2013).
