Cultivation of environmental microorganisms using the GMD-agg cultivation method

The research targets are environmental microorganisms, including uncultured microorganisms. In this project, microbial samples obtained from environmental samples such as soil and activated sludge were cultured using the GMD-agg culture method, which is a new cultivation method for culturing microbial cells at high bacterial density. The performance of the GMD-agg culture method was evaluated by comparing the community structure of the GMD-agg culture method with that of the conventional culture methods, such as the droplet culture method and the agar plate method. These are the goals of this project. In this project, samples for analysis were obtained over time during the incubation period in GMD-agg and GMD-dis.
