资源简介:
The multi-index method (MIM) (refer to Ticehurst, Teng and Sengupta 2022 in the Related Links for a description of the method) was developed for mapping surface water across the Murray-Darling Basin (MDB) based on Landsat surface reflectance data available in Digital Earth Australia. To improve the temporal frequency of the Landsat MIM product (see Related Links), monthly Sentinel-2 has been combined with monthly Landsat using the MIM method. These data are available from 2016 until June 2024. This product was developed as part of the Murray-Darling Water and Environment Research Program (MD-WERP) project (although the original Landsat MIM was initially developed as part of the Murray-Darling Basin Ecosystem Function (MDB-EF) project). The MD-WERP represents a collaborative effort between Commonwealth partners—including the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder, and the Murray-Darling Basin Authority—and a research consortium, with funding provided by the Australian Government. RQ7 specifically focuses on advancing research to improve floodplain inundation and volume prediction. The metadata document provides details on the method used to produce this product as well as the data format (see Supporting files).
