Fatty acid concentration (concentration_data_mg_per_100g.dw.csv) and percentage data (percentage_data.csv) are provided along with the R code (FA_models_&amp;_analyses.R) used to make all figures and tables in the manuscript. Specimen lengths and masses are also provided (sample_lengths_mass.csv).The r_output_datafiles folder contains additional tables summarising:Fatty acid amounts (bar_plot_data.csv).AIC<sub>c </sub>values for the three candidate models for every by-product tissue type, FA group, and dataset combination (AICc.table.p.csv; AICc.table.q.csv). The symbols "+" and "-" represent whether a predictor variable is included or excluded in the selected models, respectively.Regression model results for the selected models (selected_model_summaries.p.csv; selected_model_summaries.q.csv).Permanova results (permanova_df.p; permanova_df.q).Files and R objects ending in “.p” and “.q” represent fatty acid percentage and quantitated (concentration) data, respectively.
