Projet TROPIC (Algues Nouvelle-Calédonie)

This dataset is dedicated to Udotea collection, a marine macroalgae genus (Chlorophyta), part of the macroalgae collection housed at IRD Noumea herbarium (NOU). Data are referred to genus and species of sampled specimens along with taxonomical authorship; phylum/class/order/family taxonomy information are also provided. Information on sampling site and event, including country and locality, date, and habitat parameters like geomorphology,depth, visibility,orientation or collector of the specimens and more are recorded. Each specimen is labelled with a NOU ID and QR Code, linked to a species file and named with alphanumeric references related to the field notes (location id or collector id followed by the year of the sampling event and the specimen id:e.i. KVG14-CP01 for the first specimen collected during the Papua New Guinea campaign in 2014 in Kavieng), an IRD number IRD-xxxx, related to the dried herbarium collection, and possibly a (PC) id referencing specimen deposited in the collections of the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris (MNHN).
