资源简介:
The question of whether there exists a substantial population of pulsars, particularly millisecond pulsars, within the Galactic Bulge, has been a longstanding enigma. In a recent survey conducted toward the Bulge region using the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST), we discovered 12 pulsar candidates. Notably, four bright pulsar candidates, estimated to be located at distances greater than 3 kpc, are likely situated within the Bulge.Considering the scarcity of known pulsars in this region, the determination of spin and astrometric parameters of these pulsars can be important for us to understand the pulsar population in the Bulge. Such insights are crucial for investigating the origins of Gamma-ray emissions and delineating the electron density distribution within this area. Consequently, we propose to carry out timing observations for three bright candidate pulsars, each boasting a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 20, including a millisecond pulsar.
