655. Size 9 in. by 43/4 in. Twenty-one lines in a page.
A Miscellany, inscribed by a later hand متفرّقات.
Contents:
Foll. 1-23. A treatise on exorcism, styled بستان الناظرین, by Shaikh ‘ABD AL-RAḤMÂN b. Shaikh Naẓar Muḥammad. Imperfect at the end.
The author declares this to be an abridgement of the الفاتحة الاسرار (?).
Begins: الحمدلله الموصوف بالتصریف، المنعوت بالتخفیف. It has an introduction, فی فضائل الفاتحة, and is divided into sections (فصل). It contains also passages in Persian. Indifferently written, with notes. Soiled.
Foll. 25, 28-45. Prayers and benedictions on Muḥammad, often in verse.
Beginning: فاذا قرات القران فاستعذ بالله من الشیطان الرجیم.
Well written, in a large character.
The rest of the volume contains Persian, and occasionally Urdû, poetry on the same subject; irregularly written across the pages.
Bound in red leather, with the marks of Tippu’s library.
