Promoting information in the marketplace for financial services

This thesis will recommend a new and effective approach to ensure that there is disclosure of information in Australia’s financial markets. It will provide recommendations on how to ensure and to promote the disclosure of information based on effective coregulation by both securities commissions (commission) and by financial markets (stock exchange). The thesis is critical of Australia’s move from its former stock exchange and commission coregulation on 1 August 2010 to financial market regulation by commission (ASIC) alone.
