Transcriptome analysis of human embryonic stem cell-derived cartilage pellets at three stages of differentiation

RNA-sequencing data was obtained from cultured cartilage pellets differentiated from human embryonic stem cells via neural crest intermediate at three consecutive stages of differentiation. The transcriptome of each stage was analyzed and compared against other stages, creating a "timeline" of cartilage differentiation. Overall design: RNA-sequencing was performed on whole tissue of cartilage pellets, cultured in chondrogenic media. Pellets were analyzed on days 21, 30 and 45 of culture in differentiation supporting media. Four-to-five replicates were analyzed per time point.
