Sweep net dataset

The 2050 ecology class headed out the woodlot and grasslands by Chimneystack Rd. on the York University Campus. The temperature was approximately 18 degree celcius and raining. During this time we randomly selected an area of grasslands where we used a transect and sweep net to record the number of insects caught over an interval of time. This was repeated on 10 occasions during the 1 hour we were at the grasslands. Based on the data collected it appears that rain effects airborne insects normal behaviour and makes them difficult to locate.
