"Final Year Project Report Evaluation Marks of Engineering Students"

"This dataset contains Final Year Project (FYP) report marks collected from undergraduate engineering students of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering & Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis, for the 2022 and 2023 academic cohorts. The data were used to evaluate the impact of ChatGPT on students\u2019 technical report writing performance in engineering education. Reports were assessed using a rubric aligned with course outcomes, program outcomes, and accreditation standards established by the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC). The dataset includes three cumulative grade point average (CGPA) categories\u2014high, moderate, and low\u2014with 30 samples in each group. For each report, scores are provided across key dimensions such as organization, discussion, formatting, and overall performance. All data were collected with informed consent from participants, and personal identifiers have been removed to maintain confidentiality. This dataset can support further research on artificial intelligence in education, outcome-based assessment, and technical writing evaluation in engineering programs."
