资源简介:
The article presents the "Fondo Musicale Nino Farì", a private collection that includes various types of documents: full scores with parts, scores only, parts only, and conductor's short scores. These mostly handwritten sources consist of wind band transcriptions of operatic and symphonic works, original compositions for band, symphonic marches, and marches of a brilliant or military character. The collection reflects the artistic and organizational activity of Nino Farì, a renowned clarinetist whose career is retraced in this study, beginning in the early 1940s under the guidance of Gennaro Abbate with the famous "Banda di Squinzano", and continuing with the "Banda di Lecce" until the end of the twentieth century. A brief section is devoted to this "Grandioso Concerto Musicale Città di Lecce", which reached its peak under the direction of its founder, the Neapolitan conductor Alfredo D'Ascoli, thanks to the presence of outstanding soloists. After D'Ascoli's death in 1975, Nino Farì became the organizational and artistic director of Lecce's band, which in 1978 he renamed "Schipa-D'Ascoli Città di Lecce". The accompanying inventory includes only the scores, 155 sources (the earliest of which date back to 1930-40. This corpus highlights both the broad artistic range of the Apulian "bande da giro" in the Twentieth century - and the completeness of the instrumentation, as in the transcriptions by Ernesto Abbate. Lastly, the article briefly examines the folkloric elements found in certain compositions from the collection, selected specifically from those outside the canonical repertoire.
