Field data supporting study of temporal changes in microbial diversity from Louisiana marsh sediment, October 2016

This dataset includes October 2016 field measurements that complement marsh sediment and water samples collected for characterization of microbial communities in Louisiana marshes, a component of a longitudinal study. Water samples collected offshore from the marsh vegetation edge and sediment samples collected both inland and offshore from the marsh vegetation edge are supported by meter data (water pH, temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen; soil salinity, pH, and temperature), as well as other field observations. Complementary bacterial community composition datasets from October 2016 marsh sediment and water samples will be reported separately.
