Patricia Bay Transmissometer Deployed 2006-02-23

The SeaTech Transmissometer 0475 was deployed on 2006-02-23 at Patricia Bay. Patricia Bay is located in the Saanich Inlet, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. This device is a Transmissometer. Transmissometers measure the transmission of light through seawater. Parallel rays of light in a spectral band are emitted from a source towards a light detector a set distance away. The fraction of light received is converted into a beam attenuation coefficient. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.

SeaTech 0475型透射仪（Transmissometer）于2006年2月23日部署于帕特里夏湾（Patricia Bay）。帕特里夏湾地处温哥华岛南端的萨尼奇湾（Saanich Inlet）。该设备为透射仪，可用于测定光在海水中的透射特性。其光源会向设定间距的光探测器发射特定光谱波段内的平行光线，接收到的光强占比将被转换为光束衰减系数。该设备部署于固定平台之上。本次部署采集的数据已完成存档，并通过加拿大海洋网络（Ocean Networks Canada）的Oceans 2.0数字基础设施对外共享，所有数据均遵循既定规范完成质量管控，并配套提供衍生数据产品。
