Genome Report of Vibrio alginolyticus from Marine Water of Saint Martin Island, Bangladesh

This study aims to investigate the prevalence and antimicrobial resistance of Vibrio alginolyticus isolated from Saint Martin Island, Bangladesh. By characterizing the isolates, the research seeks to enhance understanding of the bacterium's ecological impact and its potential health risks, especially in seafood consumption. The findings will inform public health strategies and food safety practices, addressing concerns related to antimicrobial resistance and foodborne infections. This research is particularly relevant given the rising global focus on the implications of pathogens in marine environments on public health .
