Labile Organic Carbon distributions on the West Antarctic Peninsula Shelf

This data set is used to describe a new technique for assessing labile organic carbon (LOC) abundances and mean residence times in marine sediments. Radiocarbon is used to determine abundances of labile organic carbon and then a diagenetic organic carbon model, coupled with sediment biotrubation coefficients, is used to assess LOC mean residence times.

本数据集用于描述一种可用于评估海洋沉积物中活性有机碳（labile organic carbon, LOC）丰度与平均驻留时间的新技术。该技术先通过放射性碳测定活性有机碳的丰度，随后采用耦合沉积物生物扰动系数的成岩有机碳模型，对活性有机碳的平均驻留时间进行评估。
