J. H. Barrow Field Station Spider Species Diversity Survey

Spiders were collected using paired pit fall traps at 32 sites across a habitat gradient from suburban to old growth beech maple forest. Traps are run from May to October. The intent of this data is three fold: 1. survey the spider fauna, and 2. study patterns in diversity as related to habitat structure, and 3. examine patterns of species turnover.
