资源简介:
The genetic analysis was conducted on Caenorhabditis elegans CF512 that were subjected to treatment with Bacillus subtilis strain 168, focusing on the absence of disruption in nitric oxide (NO) homeostasis (B. subtilis 168, 168 nosA and 168 yojO). This study aimed to elucidate the effects of Bacillus subtilis exposure on the genetic expression patterns of C. elegans, particularly in the context of maintaining stable NO levels within the organism. Nitric oxide, a critical signaling molecule, plays a significant role in various physiological processes including immune response, neuronal communication, and the regulation of vascular tone. The integrity of NO homeostasis is vital for the normal functioning of these systems. By examining the genetic responses of C. elegans to Bacillus subtilis 168 without perturbing NO homeostasis, the research seeks to uncover the underlying mechanisms through which this probiotic bacterium influences the host's genetic makeup and its implications for the host's physiological well-being and resilience to environmental stresses.
