ArcticRIMS: Snow Water Equivalent

This data includes daily Snow Water Equivalent (SWE) values for July 1999 to June 2001, representing the most complete possible "picture" of SWE for the Arctic basin, derived from available Special Sensor Microwave/Imager (SSM/I) data during this period. Data were filtered with snow climatologies derived from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) weekly snow charts from 1996 to 2001 (the most complete record available), and are masked for pixels in the recently updated Arctic drainage basin that Rapid Integrated Monitoring System (RIMS) has released. The data is presented in 24 sub-datasets of different spatial and temporal aggregations.

本数据集涵盖1999年7月至2001年6月的每日雪水当量（Snow Water Equivalent, SWE）数值，基于该时期可用的专用传感器微波成像仪（Special Sensor Microwave/Imager, SSM/I）数据构建，为当前可获取的最完整的北极流域雪水当量图景。数据采用1996年至2001年美国国家海洋和大气管理局（National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, NOAA）周度雪况图（该时段可获取的最完整雪况记录）衍生的积雪气候学特征完成滤波处理，并针对快速集成监测系统（Rapid Integrated Monitoring System, RIMS）最新更新并发布的北极汇水流域范围内的像元实施掩膜操作。本数据集以24个子数据集的形式呈现，各子数据集具备不同的空间与时间聚合维度。
