This dataset contains carbon (C), nitrogen (N), and phosphorus (P) concentrations and their stoichiometric ratios (C:N, C:P, N:P) in plant organs (roots, stems, leaves) and soils (0–20 cm depth) across four successional stages (initial, developing, stable, and declining) of Nitraria tangutorum nebkhas in the desert-oasis ecotone of northwestern China (Inner Mongolia and Ningxia). It also includes basic soil physicochemical properties (pH, electrical conductivity, alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen, available phosphorus) and nebkha morphological parameters (long axis, short axis, height). Geographic coordinates, elevation, and long-term mean annual temperature (MAT) and precipitation (MAP) extracted from the WorldClim database are provided for each sampling site. The data can be used to investigate plant–soil nutrient feedback mechanisms, nebkha morphological evolution, and their responses to climate change in arid ecosystems.
