This data is about the flight orientation of fall armyworm in different seasons in Yunna, China. It suggests the fall armyworm showing northwest flight orientaion in Spring(both in 2020 and 2021), disoriented in Summer, southwest flight orientation in Autumn. It also indicates flight orientation of fall armyworm has the same pattern as the field results in different simulated season in the lab via rearing population under photoperiod of three seasons, which implys thephotoperiod is the key factor steering flight orientation of Fall armyworm. The data recording was collected from the insect flight simulator, which is consist of custom software named Flash Flight Simulator Data Acquisition System, Mapflow(experiments in the lab), and custom single chips (ask the lead contact if you are interested). If you would like to analyse the data again, please read the README.csv first to know what is the meaning of data in each column.
