These data were collected from a preliminary investigation on the interaction between turbulence and biofilms, using the particle image velocimetry (PIV) technique, which provides spatially- and temporally-resolved velocity vector fields in water for different flow configurations. Seventeen different experiments were conducted with different boundary conditions for each one. The biofilm was developed on a 30-cm-long section permeable bed, the biofilm-covered section was then placed in the water channel test section for flow experiments. Flow rate was regulated by a variable frequency drive controlling the pump speed. Data was recorded at four pump frequencies.

本数据集源自湍流与生物膜(biofilms)相互作用的初步研究,实验采用粒子图像测速法(Particle Image Velocimetry, PIV)技术,可获取不同流动工况下水中的时空分辨速度矢量场。本次研究共开展17组独立实验,每组实验均设置了差异化的边界条件。生物膜在长30厘米的透水床段上培育形成,随后将该覆盖有生物膜的床段放置于水槽试验段内开展流动实验。流量通过调控泵转速的变频驱动器进行调节,实验在4种泵频下完成数据采集。
