A Canada-Wide Benchmark Dataset for Mining Detection from Satellite Imagery

This dataset provides a Canada-wide benchmark dataset for mining detection from high-resolution RGB satellite imagery. The dataset contains 1,519 manually annotated image patches (750 × 750 pixels), including both pixel-level segmentation masks and object detection bounding boxes. The dataset supports research in deep learning-based mining detection, segmentation, and object detection tasks. The RGB imagery was manually captured from Google Earth between 14 January 2025 and 7 February 2025. Mining locations were identified using the FINEPRINT visualizer (https://www.fineprint.global/visualisations/viewer/), which was used solely as a geographic reference tool. All RGB images were obtained directly from Google Earth.
本数据集为一套覆盖加拿大全境的高分辨率RGB卫星影像采矿检测基准数据集。 该数据集包含1519张经人工标注的750×750像素图像块,涵盖像素级分割掩码与目标检测边界框两类标注形式,可支撑基于深度学习的采矿检测、分割及目标检测相关研究。 本次使用的RGB影像于2025年1月14日至2025年2月7日期间从谷歌地球(Google Earth)手动获取。采矿点位通过FINEPRINT可视化工具(https://www.fineprint.global/visualisations/viewer/)识别,该工具仅作为地理参考工具使用。所有RGB影像均直接源自谷歌地球。
