资源简介:
Abstract:The attention towards the phenomenon of mindfulness has been growing in recent years. Rapidly accumulating evidence suggests that mindfulness is closely related to some aspects of well-being. This study contributes to a better understanding of the relationship between mindfulness and two well-being indicators (subjective and psychological well-being). Specifically, the results from a time-lagged panel data of employed individuals (N = 240) provide support for the differential relationships between two measures of dispositional mindfulness (MAAS and FFMQ) and two types of well-being – subjective and psychological well-being via resilience. Theoretical and practical implications of these results are discussed. Variable description:maas is Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS; Brown & Ryan, 2003) consisting of 15 items (Cronbach’s alpha = .84).ffmq is Five Facet Mindfulness questionnaire (FFMQ; Baer, Smith, Hopkins, Krietemeyer, & Toney, 2006) consisting of 38 items (Cronbach’s alpha = .91).resilience is Smith et al. (2008) scale consisting of 6 items (Cronbach’s alpha = .77).swbt1 and swb t2 is subjective well-being measured at T1 and T2 using Lyubomirsky and Lepper's (1999) scale consisting of 4 items (Cronbach’s alpha (T1/T2) = .85/.87).pwbt1 and pwb t2 is psychological well-being measured at T1 and T2 using Diener et al.'s (2010) scale consisting of 8 items (Cronbach’s alpha (T1/T2) = .85/.89).Control variables included age, gender (1 = Male), and neuroticism. Neuroticism was measured using John and Srivastava’s (1999) scale consisting of 8 items (Cronbach’s alpha = .88).
Participants:Data was collected from full-time and part-time employees located in the United States registered on an online survey platform Prolific.
