Language teaching has become applied language, whereas previously it was relatively abstract and theoretical. The teacher's role in the learning process has changed significantly. The mentor teacher and teacher-dictator have been replaced by teacher-observers, teachers-mediators, and leaders. The most popular methodology is the communicative approach, which, as its name suggests, focuses on communicative experience. Communicative methodology focuses specifically on the ability to communicate.
语言教学已转向应用型方向,而传统的语言教学模式相对抽象且偏重理论。学习过程中的教师角色也发生了显著变化。导师型教师(mentor teacher)与灌输型教师(teacher-dictator)已被观察型教师(teacher-observer)、中介型教师(teacher-mediator)与引领者所取代。当前最主流的教学方法为交际教学法(communicative approach),顾名思义,其核心聚焦于交际体验的培育。交际教学法尤其侧重学生的交际能力培养。
