This series comprises of volumes detailing male and female informal patient admissions to Beechworth Mayday Hills Psychiatric Hospital [VA 2842].An "informal" patient was neither a voluntary nor a recommended patient as defined by the Mental Health Act 1959, and thus could not be detained.
