It features two critical measures, both standardized to CO2 equivalent values based on the IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5) Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors: Total GHG Emissions Including LULUCF (Mt CO2e): This comprehensive indicator (EN.GHG.ALL.LU.MT.CE.AR5) covers emissions from all major sectors—energy, industry, waste, agriculture, and Land Use, Land Use Change, and Forestry (LULUCF). Total GHG Emissions Excluding LULUCF (Mt CO2e): This indicator (EN.GHG.ALL.MT.CE.AR5) provides a measure of emissions from energy, industry, waste, and agriculture, intentionally excluding LULUCF fluxes due to their higher uncertainties. Total GHG Emissions Excluding LULUCF per Capita (t CO2e/capita): This metric (EN.GHG.ALL.PC.CE.AR5) normalizes the "excluding LULUCF" emissions by the economy's population, providing insight into individual contributions to climate change.
