Data for: INTRANASAL OSTEOSARCOMA IN DOG – CASE REPORT

Abstract: Osteosarcoma is the most common bone tumor in dogs. The usual sites are the axial and the appendicular skeleton. However, the involvement of the paranasal sinuses and the nasal cavity is considered extremely rare. The present study describes a six-year-old, female, mongrel dog with a mass located in the right nasal cavity and 90-days of evolution. Radiographic, rhinoscopy and computed tomography findings suggested the presence of an intranasal tumor. The histopathological examination associated with clinical and imaging findings allowed to define the presence of osteosarcoma in the nasal cavity. The patient had an overall survival time of 12 months after diagnosis.

摘要：骨肉瘤是犬类最为常见的骨肿瘤，通常好发于中轴骨与附肢骨骼。然而，鼻窦及鼻腔受累的病例被认为极为罕见。本研究报道一例6岁雌性混血犬，其右侧鼻腔存在肿物，病程长达90天。放射影像学检查、鼻镜检查与计算机断层扫描（Computed Tomography, CT）结果均提示鼻腔内存在肿瘤。结合临床症状、影像学表现与组织病理学检查结果，最终确诊该犬鼻腔内罹患骨肉瘤。该患犬确诊后的总生存期为12个月。
