Catcliffe Glass Cone

The glass cone was originally part of the Catcliffe Glassworks (South Yorkshire, UK). It was built in around 1740, and is the oldest surviving structure of its type in Western Europe,. It is approximately 20 metres high, and is pierced by openings round its base and is open at the top.
