Using multiple genetic screening assays and high-throughput analysis approaches, this study explored the genotoxic and evolutional effects of nonlethal dosages of furfural in yeast model. Overall design: To confirm the crossover events in the recombinants appeared on furfural plates, we selected 53 independent white colonies and 33 independent red colonies, and analyzed the T-LOH events among the these colonies using a custom chr IV-specific SNP microarray.
