Inside Long House, Mesa Verde, (Untextured)

This is one of the largest shelted pueblos at Mesa Verde National Monument in Colorado. While settle more than a thousnd years before in the area, these highly sophisticated structures used water and cover to best advantage. A seep of water in the back of this shelter was life sustaining in times of drought. The back of this shelter shows that this area was used to grind maize and prepare food. These back rooms were scanned in some detail and even wood from 700 years ago is still here.
