A categorized dataset of alpine wetlands on the Tibetan Plateau, 1986-2021

This data is a year-by-year classification of alpine wetlands on the Tibetan Plateau from 1986 to 2021, using a classification method based on change detection to obtain classification data for nine land types, including wetland types: water bodie (river and lake wetland), marsh, swamp meadow, wet meadow, and floodplain; and non-wetland types: grassland, shrublands, constructed/bare land, and iceberg snow. Spatial resolution is 30 m and temporal resolution is 1 year. The dense and long time-series alpine wetland classification data can help to understand the dynamic changes of alpine wetlands on the Tibetan Plateau in long time-series, and is expected to provide basic data support for wetland management and scientific research on the Tibetan Plateau.
