This dataset contains the experimental data supporting the manuscript entitled “Effect of plunger exposed length on densification uniformity and microstructural evolution of liquid-phase-sintered SiC ceramics during spark plasma sintering”. The study investigates the effect of upper plunger exposed length on the electrical response, densification behavior, phase composition, microstructure, and local mechanical properties of liquid-phase-sintered SiC ceramics prepared by spark plasma sintering. The samples S-H15, S-H12, and S-H9 correspond to upper plunger exposed lengths of 15, 12, and 9 mm, respectively. The dataset includes the experimental data used for the analysis of SPS system resistance and displacement behavior, relative density, XRD phase composition, Vickers hardness and fracture toughness, representative indentation crack geometry, grain-size distribution, and EDS line-scan results. These data support the figures, tables, and main conclusions reported in the associated manuscript.
