Conjunctions between POES/MetOp and RBSP A and B

There are lists of conjunction events between RBSP A and B and POES/MetOp. A conjunction was defined by separation in L-shell ≤ 0.5 and MLT<= 1 hour between an RBSP and POES/MetOp spacecraft. Ephemeris data from CDAWeb (using the IGRF magnetic field model) was used to generate the conjunction list. A similar method is described in Elliott et al. (2022). The script was written in Jython, using the publicly available Autoplot software (Fadden, 2024) and is available on GitHub (Tetrick, 2024).

本数据集包含RBSP A(Radiation Belt Storm Probe A)、RBSP B(Radiation Belt Storm Probe B)与POES(Polar Orbiting Environmental Satellites)、MetOp航天器之间的交会事件列表。交会事件的判定标准为:RBSP航天器与POES/MetOp航天器的L壳层(L-shell)间距≤0.5,且磁地方时(Magnetic Local Time, MLT)差≤1小时。本数据集的交会事件列表通过CDAWeb(协调数据分析网站,Coordinated Data Analysis Web)提供的星历数据生成,该星历数据的计算采用了IGRF(国际地磁参考场,International Geomagnetic Reference Field)磁场模型。Elliott等人(2022)的研究中描述了类似的事件列表生成方法。本次用于生成交会列表的脚本采用Jython语言编写,基于公开可用的Autoplot软件(Fadden, 2024),且该脚本已上传至GitHub平台(Tetrick, 2024)对外公开。
