Model Intercomparison Project PowerGenome Data Files

These data files are used by the PowerGenome software pipeline to create model inputs for the Model Intercomparison Project. They include: Data on existing US generation resources from EIA-860 and EIA-923 as compiled in a version of PUDL. Information from EPA's Integrated Planning Model on transmission capacity between IPM regions and the assignment of generation resources to each region. Distributed generation results from NREL's dGen model, as published in Cambium 2022. Candidate project areas for new wind and solar developement developed by Princeton University. Hourly generation profiles for the candidate project areas and existing wind/solar/hydro resources. Hourly demand based on NREL's Electrification Study, with stocks of electrified end-use technology from Princeton's REPEAT study.
